This grade change is about 4'.
Nail vertical 2x4s between the two footers.
Cut a point on the end of the 2x4 and sledge
into the ground to prevent any movement of the
formwork. Nail the 2x4 to the top and bottom
footing formwork.
Install the Fastfoot®
Starting at the bottom, run the fabric up the
vertical face and along the top. Nail the center
line of the fabric to the center of the vertical
step to hold the fabric in position.
'Tuck' the Fastfoot® on the top corner.
A tuck is made in the fabric as shown as more
fabric is required along the 2x4 than the
ground.
Position and staple the Fastfoot®
Position the fabric correctly using the colored
lines, and staple with a hammer tacker.
Screw the plywood bulkhead to the vertical 2x4s
Be sure to put more screws at the bottom of the
plywood to withstand the higher concrete loads.
Ready to pour.
Place the concrete.
Fastfoot® easily withstands concrete pressure.
Completed step
No wasted concrete and no damaged lumber.
