This was a renovation project of an existing structure using BuildBlock ICF wall systems.
Once the demolition was completed and the remaining structure was exposed, ICFs were engineerd to tie the existing floor and wall structures together with minimal alterations. Through creative bracing arrangements, a continuous exterior surface was able to be provided while interupting the interior plane through the floor structures.
Due to the strength of the structure created using ICF technology, the local building officials commented that is would be suitable as a disaster shelter.
